The Opening Download

To get the blog started, some recent observations.

By all reports, Saudi Arabia (a Muslim country, remember) has more than $750 billion dollars worth of holdings in the US. This includes some $117 billion in US Treasury notes. It also includes vast commercial real estate holdings.
Now, guess what happens to the US economy, and US debt, if a reckless president pisses off these Muslims, and they start dumping US debt and holdings.

400+ hate crimes across the nation in the 9 days since the election.
Don't you DARE tell me, "Well, give 'em a chance."

You need to understand, to a narcissistic fascist dictator, there is no such thing as a conflict of interest.
As far as he is concerned, the only interests that count are his--for himself, and for the rest of us.

We now know that all those rough, tough, rugged individualist, hearty and hardy, well-armed American men, are actually scared shitless of a 70 year old woman in granny panties and worsted wool slacks.

Donald Trump's campaign promises were not promises. They were just "negotiating points." They can be discarded at any point, for any reason--especially if he can find ways that will make his family more money.

Put this in your "to do" file:
If Trump demands that Muslims "register" (and probably people with Hispanic names too), then we ALL, all people of good will, all people of Christian love, all Progressive voters, should go down, join the lines and register.
A bloatedly incorrect register is just as useless to the haters as no list.

Apologists say, "Maybe it won't be so awful."
I say, "Maybe it will be worse."

Evidently Donald and his family have no idea what questions the FBI will ask, and what things they will look into, before granting security clearances. Pass the popcorn, this will be fun.

Here's the real deal about Donald Trump: There is no real deal with Donald Trump.

Why should I try to find common ground with racism, hate, homophobia, fraud, and theft?

If you have a mortgage or car payment, as soon as Trump is sworn in, stop paying it. He says that's smart, and that's what he does, and he's the leader, after all.

On day one, the Trump administration will have more people under indictment than the whole eight years of Obama.

If we don't turn our anger and angst into action, we are as bad as Trump. If we waste our energy arguing with other progressives over nuances of methods and tactics, and demanding "purity " from one another, we deserve to lose. "United we stand..." has never been more true.
